About the minister, George Mearns

George has been preaching for 30 years after graduating from Sunset School of  Preaching (now Sunset International Bible Institute) in 1975, the School of Missions in 1975, and Graduate Studies in 1976. George preached for the Lexington Park Church of Christ ( now St. Mary's County Church of Christ) in Maryland, the Philo Rd. Church in Urbana, Illinois, the Westside Church in Yorktown, Md. and the Deerbrook Church  (formerly Kingwood) in Humble, Tx. George also did some course work at Abilene Christian University and has a Bachelor of Ministry from Theology University of America.

George Mearns is married to Yevette and they have three children. Bryce is the oldest and he married Heather in 2003 and gave him his first granddaughter, Jaycee in 2004. Sharnel and Jolene currently live at home.
