It is with a heavy heart that I am sending this e-mail. Brother and also my Big Brother Art Lecoq has
been called to the Chapter Eternal. Visitation is tonight from 5:00 to 8:00 at Clayton Thompson here in
Port Arthur and funeral is tomorrow at 2:00 at First United Methodist Church in Nederland.

I spoke to Brother VJ yesterday and he went into the hospital for some sort of procedure and died in the
hospital. I spoke to Brother Art before our reunion and during our reunion and he had a real spiritual
experience to tell. He had a heart attack sometime before our reunion and had to be revived and
by-pass surgery immediately save his life. Brother Art related to me that God had given him another
chance. My wife and I plan to attend his service today.

Don, nice to hear from you again. I feel the same way....Art was a big part of my life while I was in
college, and we connected several times afterwards. He was always a great friend and brother, and I will
treasure our good times together.
Sorry I wasn't able to make the service today, as I had other commitments, but Art will never be forgotten.
