ROYCE AND DONALD IN COLLEGE
|
Royce was recruited by Texas A&M and played with
the legendary Junction boys and Bear Bryant until he
broke his hand. Freshman did not play on the varsity
during the early days of the Southwest Conference.
AFTER ROYCE BROKE HIS HAND AT A&M HE
EVENTUALLY ENDED UP AT ARLINGTON STATE (A
JR. COLLEGE AT THE TIME) AND THEN WENT TO
STEPHEN F. AUSTIN
I watched Royce compete in the Lone Star Track
finals in Beaumont. He placed 2nd in the hurdles.
Royce later tried out with the New York Titans, but did
not make the team.
Donald was recruited by the legendary Jess Neeley to play for Rice. He was destined to be the # 1 quarterback until he messed up his knee and then became a trainer. He stayed with Rice and earned his college degree.(More later when information is gained)
