SLOOP ANNIE B. BY DON HENDERSON |
That's me in Bubba's lap (Taken in Malakoff 1940?) |
This is my way of “hoisting up” my Annie B’s life's Tale. She was "one of a kind" and we all will miss her and each in a special way because she had a way of being “special” to each of us. This is to be sung to the tune of “The Sloop John B” I hope you don’t find this too trite, but this came to me and I felt compelled to write it down. Words can never express what Rusti meant to us, but through words and pictures we can re-live some of the great times we all shared; realizing that we can not keep our loved ones with us forever. God has a better plan for them. |
So….. Hoist up our Annie B’s Sail See how her main life’s Tale sets Call for the Lord afar Let her go home, let her go home She wants to go home We all feel so broke up, but She wants to go home So, hoist up our Annie B’s Life’s Sail See how her main Life’s Tale sets Call for the Lord on the Far Shore Let her go home, let her go home Why don’t you let her go home We feel so broke up, but she wants to go home Let her go home SHE IS HOME!! |
