Eddie Nokes was at the 1950 Elkhart game.
According to Eddie, Elkhart won the 1950 bi-district game, played in Palestine but a very close score, something like
25-21. Malakoff had the game won until one of our backs had the ball taken away from him and run back for a late
Elkart touchdown. Eddie said, "I was at that game, and remember the sick feeling we had when they scored."
